About Dr. Mattheis

Dr. Scott M. Mattheis is originally from Parkston, SD. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served for four years working as a dental assistant. Dr. Mattheis returned to South Dakota where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Upon completing undergraduate studies, he attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Mattheis then returned to the United States Navy for three years at the Naval Dental Clinic in Long Beach, CA. Following his discharge from military service he worked in both Huron and Sioux Falls before purchasing the Hartford Dental Clinic in June of 1993.

About Dr. Yingst

Dr. Kimberly J. Yingst grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and graduated from Washington High School. She then attended the University of Minnesota earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona graduating first in her class. Dr. Yingst is a member of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She is also a member of the American Dental Association and South Dakota Dental Association.

Dr. Yingst started working at the Hartford Dental Clinic in June of 2013. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband Kyle and their son Colton.

About Heather Peterson, RDH

Heather is a 1994 graduate of USD, with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is also certified in local anesthesia. Heather grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1991. She was influenced to pursue a career in dentistry by her health careers class in high school (her teacher at the time, Mrs. Bolten pushed her in this direction). Heather is a member of South Dakota Dental Association and is knowledgeable in CPR, periodontal tissue regeneration, digital radiography technique and more. In her free time, Heather enjoys attending her son, Payton's sports activities. He plays football, baseball and wrestling.

About Julie Ernster:

Julie attended USD and in 1998 obtained her Associate's Degree and is certified in local anesthesia. She grew up in Cheyenne, WY and graduated from Lennox High School in 1989. Julie enjoys helping people through her work. She is an allied member of SDDA and was president of the student association of SDDHA while in school. Julie is knowledgeable in CPR, current concepts in minimally invasive dentistry, periodontal tissue regeneration, digital radiography technique and more. She is a member of St. Vincient DePaul and in her free time enjoys doing counted cross stitch, watching movies and camping.
